
Quel marketing pour le cinéma ?
Aujourd'hui, sans marketing, le film, d'un point de vue du marché, n'existe pas. Les évolutions concomitantes du raccourcissement de la durée de vie du film en salle et de l'inflation du nombre de copies par film placent le marketing au c?ur du système de rentabilité. En dix ans, les dépenses marketing ont doublé et, soumise à la loi du marché, l'exposition des ?uvres indépendantes est menacée par des contraintes budgétaires de plus en plus lourdes. Quel marketing pour le cinéma ? Différents niveaux d'analyse (les salles de cinéma, les professionnels et le public) doivent être distingués, correspondant à différentes définitions du marketing. A des objectifs communs : parvenir à capter l'attention, retenir l'intérêt et provoquer un comportement de fréquentation, correspondent des stratégies différentes pour chaque champ d'application et pour chaque film. Marketing de la demande pour le secteur de l'exploitation, marketing relationnel pour les professionnels et marketing de l'offre pour le film. La présentation de la conception de la campagne de sortie du film dans ses différentes étapes pratiques permet une réflexion sur les stratégies marketing en fonction de la nature des films. En annexe six budgets marketing illustrent les différentes démarches.
