Elle dirige actuellement un projet épigraphique et archéologique au sud de Pétra. Jean-Noël Robert, latiniste et historien de Rome, a publié aux éditions Les Belles Lettres une quinzaine d'ouvrages sur l'histoire des mentalités dans l'Antiquité romaine, parmi lesquels Les Plaisirs à Rome (1986, nlle édition 2005), Rome la gloire et la liberté (2008), Les Romains et la mode (2011) ou L'Empire des loisirs (Signet, 2011). Il dirige en outre la collection « Realia » et celle des « Guides Belles lettres des civilisations » dans laquelle il a signé deux volumes, Rome et Les Étrusques.
